Setting a Federal Agenda to Advance a University’s Research Priorities

For nearly five years, McAllister & Quinn has partnered with a research university client to execute on a combined government relations and grant writing strategy. Each year, we lead a Federal Priorities Meeting to co-develop an 18-month federal agenda to the congressional delegation, relevant committees, research and education agencies, and partner organizations. We employ a range of advocacy activities including, but not limited to, organizing joint congressional meetings and briefings; and compiling and providing responses to Congressional and executive branch agency requests for information. McAllister & Quinn secured more than $50 million in appropriations on behalf of university interests as part of the federal budget process.
