We help organizations secure reliable, long-term funding by creating tailored programs to maximize grant opportunities for Nonprofits

At McAllister & Quinn, we work to help nonprofits build long-term funding sources. We assist nonprofit organizations navigate Congress, federal agencies, and the federal budget process to access sustainable funding. Our goal isn’t just to help our clients secure a grant, but to help them build sustainable funding streams they can count on year after year.

One example of this is our work on behalf of a leading conservation-focused zoo client. The client was frustrated by the lack of reliable, long-term federal funding for their work with endangered species.

To address this gap, we developed a comprehensive strategy that included:

  • Bringing together and leading a coalition of partners focused on endangered species recovery funding

  • Partnering with key Members of Congress from both political parties in Congress to develop and advance the legislation

  • Working closely with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, which administers endangered species programs

How Continued Advocacy Secures Millions of Federal Funding for Conservation Organizations

This effort resulted in the establishment of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Recovery Challenge Grant Program, a public-private matching grant program designed to provide sustainable, longterm funding for wildlife conservation organizations across the country.

As a result of our continued advocacy, the program has more than doubled in size since it began. Zoos, aquariums, and other conservation organizations have received millions of dollars in federal funding to support their critical work from the Recovery Challenge Grant Program. We also helped our client secure its first grants through the program, turning a policy win into real dollars in support of their mission.

This is where partnering with McAllister & Quinn brings the greatest value: not just assisting nonprofits applying for grants but creating federal funding sources they can rely on for years to come.
