Shellie Dolan serves as Director of Grants in McAllister and Quinn’s Higher Education Practice. She provides guidance and technical advice to clients to pursue federal grant funding opportunities, overseeing grant proposal development from initial concept to submission. With extensive experience writing and reviewing federal grants and providing project management for proposals, Shellie has worked with clients from a wide range of institutional and academic backgrounds and varying levels of experience pursuing federal grants. Over the course of her career, Shellie has worked with project teams to secure more than $18 million in grant funding, even while devoting a majority of those years to management and other duties outside of proposal writing.
Prior to joining McAllister & Quinn, Shellie worked as an independent grant consultant as she earned a Ph.D. in history and served as a Teaching Assistant in Introduction to the U.S. Health Care System and Modern China at the University of Rochester. While in residence there, she also worked in a digital humanities lab, the Seward Family Digital Archive, transcribing and annotating nineteenth-century letters for a public website.
