As a Director of Grants and Federal Affairs in the Higher Education practice, Rachel works with clients to identify funding opportunities that match institutional priorities, develop strong proposals and secure federal and foundation grant awards. Rachel brings extensive experience in higher education and the grant process to this role. She has assisted with the development and submission of competitive proposals to federal agencies such as the US Dept of Education (ED), Department of Justice (DOJ) and National Endowment of the Humanities (NEH), among others, as well as numerous state and local foundation grants. Over the past five years, Rachel has played a vital role in helping grant teams secure more than five million dollars in external funding.

Before joining McAllister & Quinn, Rachel was Director of Grants and Foundation Relations at D’Youville College. She worked closely with university leadership, faculty, and staff to secure funding aligned with strategic objectives. Before this, she served in a similar role as Grants Officer at Trocaire College. Prior to focusing her career on grants at Trocaire, she held multiple roles within institutional advancement and enrollment at Canisius College, most recently Director of Stewardship. Rachel began her professional career working as a Research Assistant at Cowen & Company (formerly SG Cowen) in Boston, MA and New York, NY.

Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY.
