Micaela C. Quinn is a Director of Grants and Federal Affairs within the Higher Education Practice at McAllister & Quinn. Since joining the firm in 2021, Micaela has played a key role in supporting small to mid-sized higher education institutions as they identify, pursue, and secure federal and foundation grants aligned with their strategic priorities. She works collaboratively with campus leaders from the earliest stages of concept development through final submission, managing all aspects of the grant lifecycle to ensure competitive, high-quality proposals.
Micaela’s portfolio spans projects that support research, student success, infrastructure, workforce development, and academic program innovation. She brings experience working across federal agencies—including the Department of Education, National Science Foundation, and the Health Resources and Services Administration—as well as foundation and state funding landscapes. Her work emphasizes strategic alignment, process efficiency, and strong communication to help clients navigate complex funding opportunities with clarity and confidence.
In addition to her client-facing work, Micaela plays an important role in supporting the firm’s Grants Intelligence Service (GIS). She contributes to the development, organization, and continuous refinement of GIS content and resources. Micaela also supports the firm by writing and contributing to blogs that help higher education leaders understand the shifting grant landscape and position their institutions for success.
Before stepping into her current role, Micaela served as a Research Analyst and Senior Research Analyst at McAllister & Quinn, providing analytical support, developing client-facing materials, and contributing to strategic initiatives such as the Grants Intelligence Service. In each role, she has been recognized for her collaborative approach, attention to detail, and ability to translate institutional priorities into compelling funding strategies.
Micaela is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington with a degree in Business Administration and Spanish.
