Kate Price is a Senior Research Analyst on McAllister & Quinn’s Healthcare Practice core team. In this role, she provides critical research support to advance clients’ federal engagement strategies and facilitate efforts to identify and pursue a variety of funding pathways. Kate develops strategic intelligence guidance, including monitoring and curating forecasted and available funding opportunities, producing memos on federal grant programs, and assisting in other legislative and budget analysis. In addition, she supports business development activities and the streamlining and standardization of processes, protocols, templates, and data across the practice.
Prior to working at M&Q, Kate worked in various roles while in her master’s program, simultaneously working as a teaching assistant for a first year MPH course, as well as providing support as a Humanitarian Health Intern (HHI), working closely with a nonprofit based in Sierra Leone to provide maternal child health and community health worker program protocol support, as well as monitoring and evaluation research. She also conducted qualitative research and data analysis surrounding Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E), co-publishing findings in a humanitarian journal related to best practices. Prior to returning to academia, Kate worked in a level 4 NICU in both Toronto and Vancouver, providing medical and surgical care to premature infants and their families.
