Kaitlyn Sands is a Managing Director of Grants and Federal Affairs in the Higher Education Practice at McAllister & Quinn. In this role, Kaitlyn works with higher education clients to plan and manage the delivery of grant-seeking services that focus on securing funding opportunities that support institutional priorities and faculty-initiated research. During her time at McAllister & Quinn, Kaitlyn has worked with client institutions to win nearly $45 million in extramural funding from both federal and state agencies and private foundations. She brings an extensive background in higher education fundraising and project management, working collaboratively with clients to bridge grant seeking, advancement, research, and faculty development.
Kaitlyn holds an MBA with Technology Management Emphasis from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, an MS in Nonprofit and Association Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and a BA in English with honors from the University of Oklahoma.
