Jessica Zamiska is a Senior Managing Director of Grants at McAllister & Quinn. Jessica draws on her broad experience as a grant writer, project manager, and nonprofit fundraising professional to provide both technical and strategic advice to the firm’s clients in the higher education and healthcare sectors.
Since joining the firm in 2018, Jess has helped secure over $155M from multiple agencies and funders for her clients. Jess is a leader in the firm’s Research Universities and Healthcare Practices, managing a portfolio that includes several R1 institutions and healthcare systems. She has broad experience leading successful center-level proposals, STEM education grants, and HRSA initiatives.
Jessica has also developed an effective and efficient service model for faculty development initiatives and has led several engagements focused on the NSF CAREER program, amongst others. Since 2019, Jessica has supported dozens of faculty members with their NSF CAREER submissions, with over $8.3M in awards to date.
Prior to joining McAllister & Quinn, Jessica worked in the higher education and nonprofit sectors for 10 years and has held fundraising and research development positions at The George Washington University, New York University, Chatham University and the Westmoreland Museum of American Art. At GWU, Jessica worked as a School Research Administrator, managing a pre-award portfolio of $10M, and assisted PIs with proposals to NSF, NASA, NIH, and various foundations. At NYU, Jessica managed the Society of the Arch, a society honoring donors who have made outright six-figure gifts and pledges. Throughout her tenure at Chatham University, Jessica managed an annual portfolio of $8M and was responsible for all state and federal submissions as well as select foundation grants.
