Elaine Meinzer is a Managing Director in McAllister & Quinn’s Advanced Technology Practice, where she excels in project management and collaborates with clients to develop compelling, competitive proposals. With a robust background in both federal and private funding, Elaine has expertise in coaching, stakeholder facilitation, science communication, and team strategy, helping drive collaboration and achieve strategic goals. In addition to proposal management, she is skilled at translating complex research into accessible language and fostering effective team dynamics to support innovation and growth.
Before joining McAllister & Quinn, Elaine was the Assistant Director of Research Development at the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering. In this role, she pioneered early career faculty development programs, directed successful site visits, and spearheaded numerous engineering-focused proposals that drove innovation and funding.
Elaine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and German from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University, specializing in Internal Auditing. Her thesis, titled “Research Misconduct: The Impact on the Scientific Community,” reflects her commitment to ethical standards in research.
A member of the National Organization of Research Development Professionals and the International Society for Research Administrators, Elaine is a sought-after speaker on topics such as research administration collaboration, research ethics, time management, grant stewardship, and portfolio management.
