Christopher J. Mather is the Business Development Manager for McAllister & Quinn’s Higher Education team. In this position, Chris works closely with the Directors, Managing Directors, and Vice Presidents of the Higher Education practice to help meet the practice’s growing business development goals. Chris’s responsibilities include creating business development profiles on prospective clients, creating marketing and outreach materials for webinars and email campaigns, leading webinar technical support and logistics, assisting with the Higher Education practice’s strategic initiatives, and managing the practice’s customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Additionally, Chris works with the Higher Education practice’s Research Analysts to find and analyze federal and foundation funding opportunities for prospective and current clients.

Prior to joining the Higher Education practice at McAllister & Quinn, Chris supported the firm as a Healthcare and Government Relations Intern. Chris assisted the Research Analyst and Senior Vice President by tracking and analyzing federal legislation relevant to the practice’s healthcare and health systems clients, supporting political fundraising activities, and providing analysis on important programs and provisions in annual appropriations bills and advanced intelligence on new federal spending priorities.

Prior to joining McAllister & Quinn in 2021, Chris worked as a part-time Policy Fellow for a small government affairs firm, and before that as an Account Manager at the real estate technology company, WeWork, in Washington D.C. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, where he majored in Peace and Conflict Studies and minored in Political Science.
