Christine Hempowicz, Ed.D., CRA, serves as a Director of Grants and Federal Affairs at McAllister & Quinn. In this role she works strategically with clients to identify and match the institution’s capacity and interests with funding opportunities. Christine has more than 20 years of experience in grant success with federal agencies including the U.S. Department of Education, Health Resources & Services Administration, National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Department of Justice, as well as state agencies, foundations and corporations. She holds the designation of Certified Research Administrator (CRA) from the Research Administrators Certification Council and is a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA). In addition, she is a published author, has presented numerous times at national conferences, has served as a panel reviewer for the National Institutes of Health, and, as an adjunct faculty, teaches a grant and contract writing course and has taught courses in research methods.
Prior to joining McAllister & Quinn, Christine was responsible for restarting grant seeking efforts at the University of Bridgeport where she served as the Director of Corporate, Foundation, Institutional and Faculty Grants. She also established and was Director of the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs (2008 to 2019) where she supported the growth of the research enterprise and investigator-initiated proposal development.
