Branden Dutchess

Research Analyst

Branden Dutchess is a Research Analyst with the Higher Education practice at McAllister & Quinn. In this role, he supports the firm’s senior leadership by exploring grant and funding opportunities and addressing client needs and legislative affairs.

Before joining McAllister & Quinn, Branden worked as a Graduate Analyst Intern at the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO), where he supported a review of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Before that, he spent three years as a Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, co-authoring papers on wellness, equitable healthcare access, registered nursing integration, unionization, post-industrial job markets, and healthcare workforce demographics. In addition, Branden served as an Analyst for the Weaponization of Space Working Group at the University of Pittsburgh’s Ridgway Center for International Security Studies, where he researched international treaties, developed policy recommendations on space sustainability and security, and presented findings to Department of Defense and Space Force policymakers at the Pentagon.

Branden earned a B.A from the University of Pittsburgh and an MPA from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public and International Affairs. He is a member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA).
