Nonprofit practice client Affordable Homes & Communities (AHC) has built 54 affordable housing communities and 8,200 affordable homes in Maryland and Virginia over the past nearly 50 years.
The US Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded $10M to AHC through the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program’s “Leading Edge” cohort. The funding will support green and resilient retrofits of Lansdowne Gardens Apartments in Baltimore County, Maryland. These renovations will greatly increase energy and water efficiency for residents and move the community to net-zero energy and emissions performance standards.
