Mount Horeb Area School District Secures Federal Grant to Strengthen School Safety.
McAllister & Quinn, through the Greenlights Grant Initiative, is proud to celebrate a school safety grant win for the Mount Horeb Area School District. The U.S. Department of Justice’s COPS School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP) awarded $123,318 to the district.
The COPS SVPP grant program is designed to improve security at schools and on school grounds through evidence-based safety programs and technology. Awards support:
- Increased interaction and communication between schools and law enforcement
- Faster and more effective response to threats and emergencies
- Long-term school safety and sustainability planning
- Expanded use of community policing principles
The Mount Horeb Area School District grant award will fund physical security enhancements aligned with national best practices and federal guidance, including investments to improve locking, surveillance, and protection.
This grant win reflects the mission of Greenlights Grant Initiative, an initiative of Camila and Matthew McConaughey’s just keep livin Foundation. Greenlights Grant Initiative works nationwide to help school districts access federal school safety funding to create safer learning environments for all children.
