The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act included several investments in clean energy, career skills development, and manufacturing. The following programs were created or received supplemental funding:

Department of Energy

  • Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations – $21.456 billion
  • Healthy Streets Program – $500 million
  • Reconnecting Communities Pilot Program – $150 million
  • Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs – $8 billion
  • Building, Training, and Assessment Centers – $10 million
  • Career Skills Training Program – $10 million
  • Clean Hydrogen Manufacturing and Recycling Programs – $500 million
  • Energy Efficiency Materials Pilot Program – $50 million
  • Battery Material Processing and Manufacturing and Recycling Grant Programs – $6 billion

Department of Transportation

  • Advanced Research Projects Agency-Infrastructure (ARPA-I)
  • Emerging Technology Research Pilot Program – $25 million

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

  • National Oceans and Coastal Security Fund Grant Program – $492 million
  • National Sea Grant College Program – $50 million
