Government affairs and national security expert brings extensive Department of Defense experience to McAllister & Quinn’s Advanced Technology practice, bolstering federal funding proposals as government investment rises in defense initiatives.
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – McAllister & Quinn, a leading government relations and federal grants consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Jason “J.C.” Henry has joined our team as Vice President, Government Relations, Defense & Space. Mr. Henry will be a valued member of McAllister & Quinn’s Advanced Technology practice, focusing on defense initiatives and advancing government relations for clients seeking federal funding during this period of increased government investment in defense.

Prior to this, Mr. Henry served as the Director of Government Affairs at Intelsat, advising the CEO, C-Suite, and President of Intelsat Government Solutions on advancing the company’s interests in government and public policy. As a senior member of Intelsat’s strategy team, he provided expert advice on U.S. public policy, legislative, and regulatory matters, and led efforts to develop and sustain relationships with Congressional and Executive Branch stakeholders, business partners, and customers.
Mr. Henry has held significant roles in public service and defense-related positions. As the Director of Congressional Affairs at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), he served as the principal advisor on the agency’s congressional strategy, outreach, and engagement. His responsibilities included developing and executing legislative strategies to support a multi-billion-dollar budget for defense and intelligence operations.
Earlier, Mr. Henry worked as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, advising Chairman Jon Tester on policy and managing legislative portfolios related to veterans’ affairs, national security, and defense. Prior to Capitol Hill, he had a distinguished career as a senior logistics officer in the U.S. Air Force, with more than 24 years of experience in operations, logistics, acquisition, strategic planning, and program management. Notably, he completed 11 combat deployments to every Geographic Combatant Command.
Mr. Henry holds an M.S. and B.S. from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, a B.S. from Oklahoma State University, and an Executive Certificate in Congressional Legislative Affairs from Georgetown University.
