ICYMI – McAllister & Quinn would like to share a multi-million-dollar opportunity focused on women’s health highlighted in the President’s State of the Union speech on Thursday.

During his address, President Biden announced the launch of the new White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research. The President made a call for Congress to pass his plan “for $12 Billion to transform women’s health research and benefit millions of lives across America.”

The Biden Administration launched the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research in November 2023. The mission of the initiative is to “fundamentally change how we approach and fund women’s health research, and pioneer the next generation of discoveries in women’s health.” The initiative is led by the Office of the First Lady and the White House Gender Policy Council coordinating efforts of multiple executive departments and agencies across the Federal government including the Departments of Health and Human Services, Defense, and Veterans Affairs, and the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of Science and Technology Policy.

In February 2024, First Lady Jill Biden announced the $100M ARPA-H Sprint for Women’s Health. Dr Biden remarked that “over the next year, ARPA-H will invest $100 million to fund life changing research. Through this sprint, we are going to make the types of investments that you told us would change everything.”

McAllister & Quinn continually tracks federal funding developments and ensures that our clients are prepared to respond effectively. Submissions for the Sprint for Women’s Health open on March 13th and close on April 12th.
