Juniata College awarded $500,000 foundation grant for addressing environmental challenges through the humanities

Goshen College was awarded a $4 million grant from the U.S. Commerce Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) American Rescue Plan Economic Adjustment Assistance program.

Huntingdon, PA – Juniata College was awarded a three-year, $500,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation. This award will provide funding to support the institution in establishing connections among faculty, students, and residents of Central Pennsylvania to understand and enrich learning about regional environmental challenges. Residents will be encouraged to share their stories, experiences, and relationships with natural resources to identify future outcomes that will positively benefit their community, the environment, and economy. Juniata College will partner with the Huntingdon County Conversation District to facilitate community connections. This is the fourth Mellon Foundation grant that Juniata has received since 2014.

The McAllister & Quinn team has worked closely with Juniata College to seek funding for institutional priorities. Founded in 2004 by partners John McAllister and Andy Quinn, McAllister & Quinn seeks to enhance its clients’ federal and foundation grant seeking capacity and generate return on investment.

McAllister & Quinn has the largest grant consultant network in the country, comprising more than 400 grants consultants who serve as writers, reviewers, editors, coaches, facilitators, project managers, and subject-matter experts for the firm’s small & mid-sized college and university clients.
