Ray Marks serves as a Director of Grants and Federal Affairs for the firm’s Higher Education Practice. She brings a professional background of higher education grant and government relations experience. She works with college and university clients to strategically identify and pursue opportunities that align with their strategic priorities and goals. Ray has worked with the firm since 2022 and has developed expertise across agencies, including the National Science Foundation, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Education.
Prior to serving as a Director, Ray worked as a Research Analyst at McAllister & Quinn. In this role, Ray provided research and analytical support to the firm’s higher education clients, working closely with managing directors and clients to strategically identify suitable Federal and foundation opportunities for clients to pursue. Before joining McAllister & Quinn, Ray worked as a research assistant for the sociology and linguistics departments at McGill University.
Ray is currently pursuing her Master’s in Education Policy and Leadership at the University of Maryland. She is originally from Washington, D.C.
