Derryck Hains serves as a Research Analyst for the firm’s Advanced Technology and Government Relations practices. In this position, he monitors new funding opportunities, provides agency budget analysis, and drafts memos supporting industry clients. Derryck’s focal points are defense industry clients, SBIR, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. He also coordinates the firm’s Appropriations & Earmarks portfolio.

Prior to joining McAllister & Quinn, Derryck spent time as a native speaker English teacher at EA-Edu and a public Jr./Sr. High School in Pleszew, Poland. In this role, Derryck prepared students of all ages and skill levels to develop their conversational English skills for personal, work, and university entrance exam applications. Derryck served as an Organizer for the New York State Democratic Committee, with a primary focus on rural outreach, campus organization, and voter database management.
