Annie Ascunce is a Managing Director of Grants and Federal Affairs within the Higher Education Practice at McAllister & Quinn with a passion for enriching institutions of higher education. As a director, Annie works closely with small- to mid-sized higher education institutions to identify and secure federal and foundation grants that are best aligned with each institution’s strategic goals and priorities. She has worked at the firm since 2018 and has developed deep expertise working with the U.S. Department of Education, with particular specialization in TRIO grant programs. In addition, Annie brings significant experience supporting institutions in developing competitive strategies for private foundation funding and is an active member of the firm’s Foundations team. Annie also brings experience across a broad range of federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation and the Economic Development Administration.

Prior to serving as a Managing Director, Annie worked as a Research Analyst at McAllister & Quinn, where she provided research and analytical support to the firm’s higher education clients. In this role, she worked closely with managing directors and institutional partners to strategically identify and position competitive federal and foundation funding opportunities.

Annie is a graduate of the College of William & Mary, where she earned a degree in Government and Economics. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Education Policy at Teachers College, Columbia University.
