Anita has over 12 years of research administration experience, specializing in both clinical trials and federally funded research. Her background includes academic medical centers and large public research universities, where she has supported complex proposal development and both pre- and post-award processes across a range of disciplines.
Before joining McAllister & Quinn, she was a Research Program Manager in the Department of Pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic, overseeing the research program operations and finances for the departments of Nephrology, Autism, Behavioral Health and Psychiatry. Prior to that, she served as a Pre-Award Research Administrator at George Washington University, where she collaborated with faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Health, Engineering, and Nursing to develop and submit proposals to various organizations including, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Earlier in her career, Anita held the role of Assistant Director in the Office of Sponsored Projects at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. In this capacity, she served as the primary contact for all NIH proposals submitted through the School of Medicine, providing comprehensive support for proposal and budget development, and ensuring regulatory compliance with both internal policies and sponsor requirements.
Anita holds a B.A. in Biology from Hiram College and earned both a Master of Arts in Bioethics and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy & Management from Case Western Reserve University. She lives in Avon Lake, Ohio with her husband, Amar, their three children, and two dogs.
