Erica Froyd serves as Vice President in the healthcare practice. She joins McAllister & Quinn with more than two decades of experience leading advocacy in healthcare, academic medicine, and medical research to develop and implement legislative, regulatory, and federal funding strategies for an array of clients.

Previously, she developed and oversaw initiatives to strengthen advocacy efforts at the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges), including public affairs and grassroots campaigns, engaging institutional leadership to cultivate congressional champions, and launching a new state advocacy function. Additionally, she led the group of federal government relations professionals at member medical schools and academic health systems. Before rejoining the AAMC’s government relations staff, Erica managed the biomedical and health research policy practice at a Washington, DC consulting firm where she led the Washington Office of the Association of Independent Research Institutes and represented university, scientific, and educational association clients before Congress and federal agencies.

Erica also directed government relations and public affairs for the Society of Neuroscience and led grassroots advocacy at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She earned her master’s degree in public administration with a focus on health policy from George Washington University and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Carleton College.
