San Diego Zoo Global Awarded Over $4M

San Diego Zoo Global received two major grant awards from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Recovery Challenge Grant, a grant program created in collaboration with McAllister and Quinn, to benefit nonprofits working with the Service to recover endangered species. They received $3.1M over 5 years for their California condor recovery program, and $1.2M over 5 years for their Desert Tortoise recovery program. This is the 3rd cycle of grant awards for the condor program and the highest to date. McAllister & Quinn not only assisted in the establishment of this grant program for them, but have successfully lobbied for increases to the program each year, as well as worked with the Service and Congress to improve the program.
