Dr. Zac Hart serves as a Director of Grants and Federal Affairs for a variety of the firm’s higher education clients. Having been an active member of the firm’s network of grant writers for over six years, Dr. Hart brings a “writer’s eye” to his clients’ projects along with experience across a range of agencies, especially NSF and the DoED. Zac’s work as a consultant to the firm resulted in over $25 million in funding secured.
Before joining McAllister and Quinn in a full-time capacity, Dr. Hart worked in academia and also spent twelve years with the federal government’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a program officer, grant coordinator, and project design/evaluation trainer. He also spent two years working for a national nonprofit organization called the Trust for Public Land, where he developed grant proposals and managed conservation projects. Zac holds a Ph.D. in environmental health sciences and has a strong background in the sciences and science communication.
