Spencer Knight serves as a Research Analyst for the firm’s Defense & Space Practice. In this role, Spencer provides research and analytical support to the firm’s defense & space clients. He works with the Vice President and clients to strategically locate high value Federal and Business Development opportunities for clients to pursue.
Prior to joining McAllister & Quinn, Spencer spent time as a Legislative Intern for Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA). In this role, Spencer worked with top-level Commerce Committee staff members to research and prepare information related to Space Commercial legislation, such as NASA science policies and principles related to normative behavior in outer space. At The George Washington University, Spencer served as a graduate assistant in the Department of Political Science. His primary duties included evaluation of student coursework and supporting the professor in updating course content to reflect current events in American politics. Additionally, Spencer worked as a Legislative Intern for the National Cotton Council where he provided crucial logistical support for the government relations team, including drafting newsletter articles, scheduling meetings with congressional staff and key stakeholders, and advocating for agricultural legislation before the U.S. Congress.
