Shania Pride serves as the Director of Grants and Federal Affairs, where she supports clients in the Non-profit and Higher Education practice areas. Working hand in hand with clients, Shania helps identify funding opportunities that align with their mission and programs. She is an expert in federal grants and has managed millions of dollars of federal funding in her previous roles as a grant manager and individual grantee.
Prior to joining McAllister & Quinn, Shania spent over ten years obtaining and managing federal grants for local and federal initiatives and nonprofit organizations. She received a prestigious fellowship with the United States Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, where she served for three years providing subject matter expertise on children and youth exposed to violence and trauma. In addition, she has directed a Health and Human Services grant for a nonprofit in Virginia through the Healthy Marriages and Responsible Fatherhood Initiative and a Volunteerism grant through the Corporation for National Community Service.
In addition to these roles, she has served as a Board member and Chair for committees and organizations, bringing together nonprofits and community partners, government organizations, and business leaders. She was the Chair of the Community Impact Council for the Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce. She helped over 40 local nonprofit organizations build relationships and get volunteers and donations from business partners.
For most of her life, Shania has lived in Northern Virginia, the suburbs of Washington, DC. She obtained her undergraduate degree at George Mason University and her dual master’s degrees in Mental Health Counseling and Education from the University of Virginia.
