Senior Higher Education Administrator Joins McAllister & Quinn

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – McAllister & Quinn is excited to announce that Jen Kane has joined the firm as Managing Director of the Grants Network. Jen joins McAllister & Quinn from the University of Queensland’s North America office, where she served as the Associate Director. In this role, she managed key partnerships and relationships, identified business development opportunities for the university, and supported growth of research grants with US collaborators from A$7.4 million in 2011, to more than A$17 million in 2019.

“Jen Kane brings to McAllister & Quinn over 15 years of impressive experience in strategic planning, developing partnerships and managing relationships,” says Andy Quinn, who co‐founded McAllister & Quinn with John McAllister in 2004. “In the newly-established role of Managing Director of the Grants Network, Jen will provide increased leadership, strategy, support and guidance to our network of more than 300 grants consultants. We are very excited that Jen has decided to join McAllister & Quinn. She will be a great addition to our team.”

Although a U.S. national, Jen has spent the bulk of her career working for Australian organizations across higher education, government and non-profit sectors. Jen previously served as Education Manager at the Embassy of Australia in Washington, DC, where she coordinated projects and initiatives to promote study in Australia, and monitored policy agenda affecting student mobility. Jen earned her bachelor’s degree in English from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind.
