(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – McAllister & Quinn is excited to announce that this week William Kay has joined the firm’s higher education team as Managing Director of Grants and Federal Affairs. Will joins McAllister & Quinn from SUNY Stony Brook University (Stony Brook, NY) where he served as a grants proposal manager and writer for the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Will had been at SUNY since February 2017, supporting faculty and staff in the pre-award grants processes. He will utilize his vast experience with federal grants to support McAllister & Quinn’s higher education clients.

Before his time at SUNY, Will served seven years in the grants office at his alma mater Ithaca College (Ithaca, NY). In that capacity, he developed and coordinated proposals that resulted in over $50 million in federal grant and foundation funding for the college. Will also provided oversight of the research administration enterprise in support of federal grants activity at Ithaca. Will earned a B.A. in Anthropology at Ithaca College and a Master of Community and Regional Planning at University of Oregon.
