Rivier Wins $2.4 Million HRSA NEPQR Grant

Congratulations to Rivier University for winning a Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) – Registered Nurses in Primary Care (RNPC) Training Program grant from the Health and Human Services Administration (HHS). This federal grant is designed to expand primary care training for registered nurses. Shifts in treatment settings, escalations in substance use disorder and mental illness diagnoses, and the aging baby boomer generation are driving changes in the role of nurses and this grant will enhance education, increase access to community healthcare services, and improve patient outcomes.
