(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – McAllister & Quinn is excited to announce that Alexis Pangborn, M.A., has joined the firm’s higher education team as Managing Director of Grants and Federal Affairs.
Alexis joins McAllister & Quinn after fifteen impressive years of freelance grant writing for a variety of non-profit clients. For the past seven years, Alexis served as a valuable grant writer in McAllister & Quinn’s professional grant writing network, focusing mostly on small to mid-size higher education clients. Alexis has collaborated with institutions to secure millions of dollars in funding from government, foundation, and corporate funders. Alexis brings to the role her expertise in proposal development, working comfortably with content experts across a variety of fields.

In addition to her freelance grant writing experience, Alexis held roles as the Assistant Director of Foundation Relations and Development Grant Writer at St. Edward’s University, a private, Catholic, Hispanic-serving institution in Austin, TX. Prior to that, Alexis worked in fundraising roles at Communities in Schools of Central Texas, United Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York, and the Institute for Professional Development in the Addictions. Alexis earned a B.A. in English and a Master of Arts in English at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
