Bucknell wins NSF Grant for Research Computing

Congratulations to Bucknell University for winning a Campus Cyberinfrastructure grant through the National Science Foundation. With the grant funds, students and faculty conducting data-intensive research projects will have access to a high-speed internet pipeline exclusively for research, eliminating competition for bandwidth with other non-academic data transfer on campus such as internet browsing and video streaming. This will be particularly advantageous for research conducted in the biology and computer science departments that incorporates big-data analysis.
