Jeff Eisenbeiser is a 29-year veteran of the Secret Service who was promoted to the Senior Executive Service in 2006, and has served in protective and investigative assignments globally. He began his career with the Secret Service in 1985 as a special agent in the Los Angeles Field Office until his selection to the elite Counter Assault Team. While serving on the Presidential Protective Division, Jeff was promoted to oversee the Counter Assault, Counter Sniper and Emergency Response teams.
Other supervisory assignments include: Inspector at the Office of Professional Responsibility, where he investigated major criminal and administrative integrity investigations; Assistant Special Agent in Charge for Protection and Investigations at the Washington Field Office; Special Agent in Charge at the Pittsburgh Field Office; and Deputy Assistant Director at the Office of Administration, where he supervised the formulation, justification and execution of the agency’s 1.5 billion dollar budget. He was reassigned to the Office of Investigations, where he developed and implemented policy and oversaw all domestic and foreign field offices, International Programs Division, Criminal Investigative Division, Forensic Services Division, Asset Forfeiture Division, and Investigative Support Division.
As the Deputy Assistant Director Office of Protective Operations, Jeff developed and implemented policy and oversaw all Former Presidential Details, Dignitary Protective Division protecting all visiting foreign heads of state and government, National Special Security Events and the Special Operations Division, which includes all the Secret Service’s tactical programs including the Airspace Security Branch (ASB), Counter Assault Team (CAT), Counter Sniper Program (CS), Counter Surveillance Branch, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Explosive Detection Canine Unit, Hazardous Agent Mitigation Medical Emergency Response (HAMMER) Team, and Magnetometer Operations.
Jeff retired from the Secret Service as Deputy Assistant Director of the Office of Technical Development and Mission Support where he had oversight of the agency’s scientific security projects and programs ranging from explosive mitigation to operational life-safety solutions. Additionally, his oversight responsibilities include the planning, design, acquisition, development, and implementation of the agency’s information technology solutions.
Jeff is a native of Southington, Connecticut. Prior to the USSS, Jeff was a law enforcement officer in the state of Connecticut and a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer. He earned his criminology bachelor of arts degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, a master of arts in national security studies with an emphasis in counter-terrorism from California State University San Bernardino and a master of science in business leadership from Johns Hopkins University.
