Art Gordon serves as a Strategic Advisor to the Defense & Homeland Security Practice at McAllister & Quinn. Art retired in 2007 after serving three years as the Assistant Federal Security Director for Law Enforcement with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at BWI Airport in Maryland. He served as TSA’s top law enforcement official in Maryland. Prior to accepting his position with TSA, Art served for twenty-nine years in various law enforcement positions with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Art was a special agent for fifteen years conducting criminal investigations in the field. He served two years as a Headquarters Project Officer overseeing ATF’s National Firearms Training Program, two years as an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Coordinator, and ten years as a Supervisory Special Agent supervising a multi-agency law enforcement task force. Art has been an active member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) since 1982. He served as the FLEOA National President from 2004 through 2008 representing 26,000 Federal law enforcement officers throughout the country. Art currently sits on the Executive Board of Directors of FLEOA and the Board of Directors of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF). He is also currently an active member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). Art earned a B.S. in criminal justice, and an M.A. in criminal justice and forensic science from George Washington University.
